WHO CAN APPLY?
Middle-school students with an interest to learn about cutting edge technologies and with an inclination for Science, Technology, Art and Mathematics. Applicants must be between 12 and 14 years old and be returning to middle school/Gymnasium in September 2021.
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
You will gain a basic understanding of a range of technologies including digital fabrication, rapid prototyping, 3D printing and robotics at the CYENS Thinker Maker Space, as well as an introduction to software application development, film production and video editing. The program is designed to help children improve their problem solving skills, critical skills, creativity, collaboration and communication skills.
HOW CAN I APPLY?
Complete the application form found here by July 12, 2021. All applications will be acknowledged, but only successful applicants will be notified by July 19th. The evaluation will be based on the responses submitted. Depending on the number of applications, final selection may be based on a random selection from all those meeting the minimum threshold.
The course is free of charge. Parental permission is required.
Daily start time: 8am | end time: 2pm. Refreshments and snacks will be provided mid-morning and at lunch time.
All relevant COVID-19 precautionary measures will be taken upon entry into the facility and throughout the class. These include but may not be limited to hand disinfection, masks, temperature monitoring and distancing.
